Oklahoma Lets You Skip Every Vendor. Then It Names the Condition.

Pay one annual fee — $99 — for registered agent representation in Oklahoma. The address goes on your filings, legal mail gets scanned same-day, and we remind you before state deadlines.

A note on our interest before the argument starts. This page belongs to OK Registered Agent.org, we charge $99 a year for the seat LegalZoom charges $249 for, and we would obviously like the work. LegalZoom's price is theirs, recorded from their published rates in July 2026.

What the Name Is Worth

LegalZoom is the most recognized brand a first-time owner is likely to encounter, and recognition does real work. Someone who has never bought a legal service before is being asked to judge a category they have no basis for judging, and picking the company they have already heard of removes a decision that felt unqualified anyway. That is a legitimate reason to buy, and we will not pretend otherwise.

$249 a Year, Renewing on Its Own

Their agent service is $249 annually, it renews automatically, and our July 2026 review turned up no discounted first year anywhere. Give them credit for the shape of that: one rate, no expiring teaser, no year-two surprise. The shape is fine. The level is what this page is about.

Oklahoma Names Three Kinds of Agent, and One of Them Is You

Here is the part no vendor volunteers. The Secretary of State's own organizing procedures, quoting 18 O.S. § 2010, set out who may hold the registered agent post in Oklahoma. An individual living in this state qualifies. So does a domestic or foreign-qualified corporation, LLC, or limited partnership. So, remarkably, does the limited liability company itself. That last entry is rare across the fifty states, and Oklahoma states it without hedging. Your company is allowed to take the appointment and pay no one for it.

What follows the permission is where the free route gets expensive for most people. The registered office has to be a street address, and a PO box will not satisfy the state. The agent must keep a business office at that identical address, open through regular business hours so that a process server has somewhere to hand papers. And the address goes on the public record, searchable by anyone who looks your entity up.

That middle requirement does the most damage to the do-it-yourself plan. It is not a mailbox obligation, it is an attendance obligation, one address covered for the whole working day, every working day, including the week everyone is at a conference and the afternoon of the funeral. Businesses with a staffed storefront clear it easily. Businesses run from a spare room technically clear it and then discover their home address is now a public search result.

Route Annual cost What it asks of you
Your LLC appoints itself $0 A staffed Oklahoma street address, published
OK Registered Agent.org $99 Nothing after enrollment
LegalZoom $249 Nothing after enrollment

We are not the cheapest name in this state either, and the table should not imply it. Ninety dollars is what BetterLegal advertises, nine below our figure.

Switching Away From LegalZoom in Oklahoma Takes One Page and $25

The whole procedure is Form 0075 with a $25 fee, posted to the Oklahoma Secretary of State or entered through the state's electronic change service, and our change of agent page walks through the details. One sequencing rule is worth memorizing: name the incoming agent while the outgoing one is still on file, so the record never has a gap where a lawsuit could land on nobody.

The $99 Column

There is only one price to quote here, which makes the section short. Ninety-nine dollars covers our Oklahoma street address appearing on your public filings rather than yours, anything a process server delivers to us imaged into your portal that same business day, notice before your anniversary date so the Annual Certificate does not slip past, and a document vault you can reach whenever you want it. No upgrade tier exists, because we have nothing above it to sell.

Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars of Recognition

Oklahoma law asks precisely three things of every agent regardless of what the invoice says: a street address inside the state, availability through business hours, and prompt delivery of anything served. If the famous name is worth $150 a year to you, that is a purchase and not a mistake. If it is not, the alternative sits one form and twenty-five dollars away.
